After Marin, and with plenty of left-over NFC stickers, I saw a cool-looking (and very expensive) figure for Luigi's Mansion 3. I decided to use that as my model to create my own Luigi amiibo, since I didn't have one of him. I even got some glow-in-the-dark clay, which turned out perfect for Luigi's ghost dog Polterpup.
At this time I hadn't started using wire frames inside of my clay figures, so Luigi's head (and lots of other things) have fallen off of him and been glued back on a few times.
You'll also notice that his nose is flat, and this is because I fired him all at once laying flat on his face. The base and Polterpup were fired separately, and I hot glued them onto the base, along with an NFC sticker in a coin case concealed within the base. Again, hot glue turns out not to be a good solution for polymer clay in the long run, but I didn't know that at the time.
Of course, my kids wanted to play too, especially with the glow-in-the-dark clay.
