This post is on my other (more nerd-centric) blog, but I thought I might call attention to it here.

The Exodus Continues

It seems to be the time for good-byes. The Kerrs, who have been in Washington for three years (just a bit longer than I) are heading back to Texas (by way of Canada) in July.

On Saturday, there was a going-away party at the Froese house.




We're going to miss them.

Caleb's Going-Away Party

Friday evening was Caleb's going-away party at the Cove. He leaves in the morning for California.

We'll miss you, Caleb.

My Weekend, So Far

This has been a busy weekend.

On Thursday evening, Deborah invited a bunch of people to the Cove; we ate s'mores and hung out. It was a fun time.

On Friday night, Josh hosted an outdoor indoor movie at his house. We watched Charade.

On Saturday morning, we went hiking up to Rattlesnake Ledge. Elizabeth and I got there two minutes after everyone had started hiking, but due to miscommunication, we thought they were still walking to the trail head from the the parking lot, and they thought we were ahead of them on the trail. We therefore waited for them for 10 minutes as they tried to catch up to us on the trail. Consequently, we didn't catch up with everyone until we got to the ledge.

Saturday afternoon was Michael's graduation party at the Kilcup's. There was volleyball, food, cake & ice cream, and company to be enjoyed.

Headship

This Sunday and last Sunday I was giving a two-part series at my church in Tacoma on the topic of headship. The first week I went over the broad concept as it is seen in scripture, and on the second week I focused on 1 Corinthians 11, where it is applied.
