Goodness

"Some people talk as if meeting the gaze of absolute goodness would be fun. They need to think again. They are still only playing with religion. Goodness is either the great safety or the great danger--according to the way you react to it. And we have reacted the wrong way." ~C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity) Some friends from BSF and I are doing a book study on Mere Christianity. In addition to generally discussing the ideas that the book brings up, we are attempting to compare what Lewis says with what the Bible says, and make a note of where in the Bible the scriptural principles that he mentions and utilizes are.

  1. This sounds like a good topic for Luther's Men.

And no, that's not just a shameless plug, I happen to be somewhat of a fan of CS Lewis and actually just got a collection of his works from Amazon, so I think it'd be cool if you took the discussion online.

  2. I'm still jealous of your book club, Tim. I'll just have to settle reading John with my unsaved friend instead. ;)
