Coming to a Blog Near You

Maybe if I post this here I'll actually do it.

As sort of a preview of coming attractions, this last Sunday I gave a sermon on how the Christian fulfills the Law in Christ (or more precisely, has the power to do so), taking up the first five commandments. I've been asked to organize my notes on the subject, and also do a sequel (on the other five) so I hope to get that together at some point in the near future, and when I do I will post it.

There. You have my word.

  1. So you should do your next sermon on . . . the first five commands again. And then be like, "oooooh you wanted me to do it on the second five? You didn't specify that!" and then they'll have to give you a THIRD time to do another sermon on the second five commandments. Mwahahaha. OR for the sake of balance, they may feel obliged to give you two sermons for the second five commandments. And then you can get a fifth one out of it by preaching on the third five commandments. You know, the ones dropped in Mel Brooks' "History of the World Part One".

    Moses: The Lord, the Lord Jehovah has given unto you these fifteen... [drops one of the tablets] Oy! Ten! Ten commandments for all to obey!

  3. You've been tagged on my blog, so I guess you'd better come see what you've been tagged for!

  4. Angie,

    If you have to tag five people, and let's say it takes about a week for turn-around time, and assuming that no one tags people who have already been tagged (because they read their blogs), the time it would take for every living member of the human race to get tagged is about 14 weeks* from when the guy who made up the survey posted it.

    My point is that this is a system that is designed for interference, so if someone doesn't notice that you tagged them, you should not try to point it out to them.

    * 5^14 = 6.1 Billion
